This place is so good. I doubt if I ever eat at another restaurant in Marshall ever again. As I ate my food I kept watching them bring out other people's plates and thinking dang I want that too! I'm not a fan of boudin or mushy anything but for some reason the boudin balls and sauce were just so amazing. Best ever. Fish was delicious. I recommend the garlic fries and be sure you ask for coleslaw! It's the best I've had in Texas.
Amazing flavors, huge portions, and super tasty! The decor takes me to the Bayou of Louisiana, full of eclectic fun items and a cute help yourself side item bar. Staff was very friendly and they have a great variety on the menu.
It was our first time eating here. Everything was good. Service, food n atmosphere. N for those who like to drink alcohol beverages well they don't serve/sell it. But... It's BYOB. Family oriented restaurant. My husband had cajun smothered pork chops with dirty rice, his son had Tex Bacon cheeseburger with cheesey bacon fries, I had Grilled chicken Caesar with ranch dressing.With 3 drinks. Price wasn't too bad.
Unique restaurant with a lot of menu options. French fries were not the best, they came out cold. All the other dishes were 5/5.
The food is above average. I highly recommend trying this place out. The gumbo is spiced just right and is very, very good. The restaurant has a down-home cajon-style feel.
Found this place on our way home from Jefferson earlier today. We will definitely be going back! Nice menu with lots of variety, and the prices aren't bad for what they serve.
Quirky and delicious! Boss lady and I came in for the first (but not last) time. We were greeted warmly by the staff, and they didn't rush us even though we didn't know what to order. Since we were headed to Jackson, we just wanted a taste of the bayou. She got their chicken fingers, which come in a crazy amount of different styles and flavors. I sampled Mama Nan's crawfish etufee and the Seafood Gumbo. Both were really good! The fresh brewed iced tea was very refreshing. We'll definitely be back!
Fantastic service and food, fried gator especially was delicious, the breading used compliments the chewiness of the gator. Had the seafood platter as well, really good proportions for the price, especially on the crawfish serving, seasoning was just right on everything else as well.
